The Weakerthans: Reunion Tour Review

The Weakerthans are a Canadian indie rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I would personally describe them a folk band though most call them a punk rock or a punk folk band.
Reunion Tour starts off with arguably their best song. For me this song didn’t spawn any special reaction and not many songs stood out enough for me such that I could really get hooked to a part of the album. The lyrics however, are pretty good. It was great to hear a song on the “Tournament of Hearts” which is a women’s curling championship. Lyrics are solid and songs aren’t too shabby and I think it’s a little bit off from my style.
I probably won’t be listening to this in the future but it’s more of a “meh” thing for me but I can see why other would really like it (or hate it). Lyrically and musically it does get a thumbs up and I’ll give it a 3.75 out of 5.
