Music News Around The Blogosphere

I’ve been struggling with my sleep this week. I tend to sleep twice a day…and its taking a real toll on me. I fell asleep writing this very post.

Anyway, I tend to notice other blogs writing up these posts but I find that they only link to themselves and they don’t bother linking to other blogs like they should. First I’ll be a hypocrite and review the news around our website.

Welcome two new writers!

Nancy from Hepsville, in first post she previews Pop Montreal. She’ll be covering the event which is from October 1st to 5th (as either as part of press or a patron)

Christian wrote his post on Atlas Sound’s latest disc.

Other album reviews:
The Raconteurs – Consolers of the Lonely
Brazilian Girls – New York City
Sloan – Parallel Play
Conor Oberst
Son Of Dave – 03
Closer 2 Closure – The Middle

Other:
Okkervil – Lost Coastlines MP3 Review

Okay now for some other blogging love:
Impressionable Youth has a great recap on the teases that Franz Ferndinand are. They released Lucid Dreams to the blogosphere recently. I myself was cheesed that they only let me preview it at the time so I said screw it as I don’t have time to waste.
Mike from Nothing But Green Lights is pissed that blogs are recycling poorly written content. -He’s right though but it’s been happening for awhile. The same blogs post the same thing, if I’ll start calling them out but I’d look like a jealous idiot.
Santogold’s Lights Out video has been placed on UTube.
Jay Z has a track out produced by the egomaniac Kanye West. Haven’t bothered with it myself.
Pitchfork has a few detailed on the new PB&J record. They also link to a new MP3 Inland Empire, not a bad track but with no vocals it figures why the blogosphere hasn’t caught on.
Politicians like music critics can’t get past band names: Holy Fuck is being blamed for Canadian Arts Funding Cuts (WTF – the last thing we need is more cuts, where the hell is the money going?)
Oasis had their mp3s leaked but predictably they were removed. Way to kill the blog hype but I doubt Oasis gives two shits.
