The Virgin Festival in Toronto is this weekend on September 7th and 8th. We, as in this blog will be providing some photos and reviewing the performances (well I can’t be there, still in no shape to go to a concert but Zack from SportChitChat is on special assignment). Day One features the Foo Fighters, Bloc Party, The Kooks, The Fratellis, MGMT (even though I do hate them…), The Constantines, Against Me, Wintersleep and many more. Day 2 features, Oasis, Moby on the turntables, The Weakerthans, Silversun Pickups, Stereophonics, Sons and Daughters, Sebastian Grainger, Shad and more.

It should be a great festival despite putting a hurting on your wallet.

My Hero by Foo Fighters

Wonderwall by Oasis

Electric Feel (Justice Remix) by MGMT

Thanks to Sony/BMG, Groundswork Marketing and Virgin Fest.

Nothing to survive because I’m too cheap to go.

Yeah I don’t blame you. You’d figure corporate sponsorship would help drop the price of those tickets.

I’ll take that as a sign up since you included your email ;) .

Hope you don’t mind but I linked to this on my blog. Since I am linked to a lot of Canadians (maybe a sign of good national music taste) I wanted to help get the word out.

Excellent festival to introduce the masses to new and old British bands! Hopefully, some of the bands will return and tour on their own!
