The Submarines – Signed CD, Tote Bag Package Giveaway

The Submarines Signed CD, Tote Bag Package Giveaway We’ve got another contest to give you some more free stuff. (It seems these contests come in bunches).

The Submarines are indie pop band featuring John Dragonetti and Blake Hazard. They completed to full studio releases, Declare A New State! back in ‘06 and Honeysuckle Weeks back in April/May of this year. I gave Honeysuckle Weeks a 3.75 out of 5 citing an above average followup but not quite a stand out.

Their best track off Honeysuckle Weeks, Xavia was on the soundtrack to Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. They also had one of their best tracks, Brighter Discontent lip synched in its entirety on the season 4 finale of Nip/Tuck. They are currently on tour in Europe with Aimee Mann.

Anyway we’re giving away just one prize. It does however include:
1 autographed CD of Honeysuckle Weeks by The Submarines
The Submarines’ Tote Bag
4-button pin pack
3 song download

Some rules:
1. Enter by commenting below
2. You must include a valid e-mail address in the appropriate field (you could include your email in the comment but it is strongly not recommend if you hate spam).
3. This contest is open to both Canadian and US citizens (sorry rest of the world but at least it just isn’t Canadian)
4. Contest ends on October 21 (I’m soo busy until then…)
5. Winner picked by random drawing
6. Winner will be e-mailed

Xavia by The Submarines
Brighter Discontent by The Submarines
Maybe by The Submarines

Umm…would recommend waiting for the dvd. Twas good..with some funny bits…not too long or short…but nothing fantastic …lets say mid level indie flick type.

To answer your question the movie was actually quite brilliant! I thought it was much better than your average indie flick. And the soundtrack of course is fantastic as well. I quite enjoyed hearing Xavia in the film.

Declare a New State was an amazing album and I’m still quite fond of their lastest work. :D

Much thanks for the opportunity to win! Loved this post! While not as blown away as I was by the first go-round (I think 3.5 is fair), I’m still a huge fan of them and their story(s).

Can’t think of anything to post that’s on topic.

No one said you have to. It could range from “hi” to “allan sucks”. However if you wrote “allan sucks”… I may forget to include you in the drawing.
