Pearl Jam Ten Contest

Pearl Jam Ten ContestPearl Jam reissued their first album, Ten on March 24th. The band has a long history forming out of Seattle, Washington. I liked a few Pearl Jam songs but you can’t really blame me for not being a big fan. I was 3 with this album release (e.g. in 1991). I find that very few people of my generation appreciate Pearl Jam as I got to see the band in the stage that was not interested in doing music videos and the grunge era was basically dead by the time I was 10. I didn’t hear much about them I guess despite some pretty good songs that were mentioned. We’ll be reviewing the album (Jessica) sometime down the future but it makes sense that I haven”t done it. You can read Panic Manual’s review in the meantime.

Anyway with this contest, I’ve got two prizes to give away:
1 Deluxe Edition of Ten, includes: re-issue of Ten, remixes by Brendan O’brien + 6 unreleased tracks and a DVD of MTV Unplugged of their performances (o remember the times where MTV was the shit for live performances?)
2nd prize: Just a plain old legacy edition of Ten which includes everything BUT the DVD.

Here’s how to enter:
Just comment below WITH a valid e-mail address.
Contest is open to just North Americans.

i was lucky enough to have two older brothers who were alive and kicking during pearl jam’s heyday.. i popped out of my mom’s vagina and right into a “Vitalogy” t-shirt.. i’ve been following those fellas since before i could walk.. i can’t tell you how happy i am to seem them still playing, writing, and making noise in general.. glad to see that people from my generation have taste in good, honest rock music..

I’ve seen PJ three times, and I love that Brendan O’Brien has made Ten sound edgier, more relevant and snappier than it ever did.
Sounds like a great contest – sign me up!

I remember the night I purchased “Ten” at Tower Records – it was either “Ten” or “Badmotorfinger” by Soundgarden. I wonder what musical direction I would have gone in if I had went with Soundgarden… Really enjoy your blog.

My friend’s birthday is coming up and he’s a huge Pearl Jam fan. And we’re both poor college students.

Not that I’m trying to win based on sympathy or anything…:)

In the 90′s, I liked PJ but never got crazy about them. Recently, I discoved a new PJ world with what they’ve done since the grunge era.
I love this band. The old and new stuff.
I’m going to San Francisco this summer just to see them live.
