Das Racist EP Review

Das Racist is a Brooklyn duo Queens’ Himanshu Kumar and San Francisco’s Victor Vazquez. They are a hip-hop duo specializing in the sillier/humorous side of things.
I’ve mentioned them on my twitter page before and to my writers. Basically “The Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell” is one of the worst songs I’ve heard but good luck trying to stop listening – I can’t. For whatever reason, it’s addictive, in any case Pizza Hut and Taco Bell owe Das Racist some money.
I think you get much more sense of their silliness on Fake Patois, using a Patois accent and mentioning various rappers and artists as being “Fake Patois”. Props for mentioning Snow of Toronto.
With just 3 songs on the EP, Taco Bell+Pizza Hut, Fake Patois and Jungle Fever, it’s hardly a showcase of major talent but they are at the very least intriguing. Overtime I would say “Jungle Fever” is the best song as it resembles a legitimate track with some sick beats that doesn’t wane in quality with multiple listens as addicting Fake Patois/Taco Bell and Pizza Hut are. They’ve got more stuff on their myspace that I need to check out.

I curse the day you ever tweeted about these guys, but everyone I show this band to gets hooked.
