Dirty Projectors – Stillness Is The Move Music Video

Do the Dirty Projectors need an introduction? To preclude my review of Bitte Orca which will happen on Friday (yes I’m late to the game BFG). I’ll say: I’m digging this album but I’ll get to it then.
The song is Stillness In A Movie is not my favourite song but it’s up there. The video features scenery from Mount Equinox, Vermont as well as wolves and llamas (I’m pretty sure I saw an alpaca though). Anyway the music video could be found boring, some of the shots are gorgeous. The band seems odd though with Dave Longstreth boringly strumming his guitar with the occasional head bop. I’d like to note the woman of Dirty Projectors which involve some bad choreography (and if you’re the “observant” type, bra-less choreography) while Amber Coffman lip-syncs to her strong vocals on the track.
That’s all I’ve got to say about that. The music video version of the track is a slightly abbreviated. I do enjoy the song immensely though. Coffman’s vocals are the highlight but the guitar work make it a lively song as well. As for the music video: chalk one up to another “weak music video”. I’d only give points because I’m a huge fan of scenery but I don’t expect others to be.
