Neon Indian – Deadbeat Summer MP3 review

Neon Indian Deadbeat Summer MP3 review

There’s nothing that gets hipsters talking like a pair of unmasked musicians who claim to have reached commercial success with their other musical endeavors. Now that their identities have been revealed as Alan Polamo, the producer of Vega and some other girl who I have never heard of (Alicia Scardetta) lets hope they don’t loose their charm. Deadbeat Summer sounds a lot like how MGMT might if they were really good, its not too fast and has the perfect blend of vocals, grinding guitar sounds, and electro. What I like most about the song though is how it sounds new and old at the same time, while that may not make sense, give it a listen and I’m sure you will understand what I mean. Neon Indian lives up to hype for me, and I can’t wait for their debut LP Psychic Chasms on October 13, 2009.
