Atlas Sound featuring Panda Bear Walkabout MP3 Review

Expectations would be sky high if you look at how high Animal Collective’s Merriweather Post Pavilion has been rated and Deerhunter/Atlas Sound (Bradford Cox’s solo project) coming off an amazing year. Even then, Noah Lennox aka Panda Bear’s Person Pitch is superb and I dig the record more then AnCo’s. In a way it’s a super indie collaboration.

With Lennox on vocals, in a way it comes off as an awesome Panda Bear track with some seemingly looped sections. What I like about Panda Bear is that while unique and trippy, it’s almost inherently pop music. I could be fooled that it was simply a Panda Bear track. I think what Cox adds is more a down tempo feeling and use of simplicity when Lennox tends to get carried away. So it strikes a nice balance.

In a way it seems all too simple but this is a great song. I can definitely listen to it over and over again.
