Antony and The Johnsons – Crazy In Love Music Video

Antony and The Johnsons could probably take the most annoying song (of that year) and make it pretty good. Behind Antony Hegarty’s vocals, who I could easily mistaken for a women with a deep voice, has a unique voice in indie rock. It’s more soulful really and the band just facilitates that.

Anyway the song and video would fool me again that Antony is somewhat female as the song itself is very feminine yet does a gorgeous job with the track. There wasn’t really much to the original so it’s easy for one to say how this one is obviously better. The cover is much more emotional and heart felt so I’ll just leave as that.

The music video starts off with a mix of lo-fi videography and high-quality though dark in general. I assume it’s supposed to have a dark feel to it. It’s a simple video really, perhaps maybe a little boring. Still a good song.

I disagree with you about the original song…it was actually a killer track. I kinda fell in love with it when I saw some B-girls dance to it down at Harbourfront several years back. Obviously, it isn’t your cup of tea but that shouldn’t equal ‘annoying’.

I can still call it annoying even if it isn’t my cup of tea. I didn’t really disregard the track but “annoying” is more of a personal experience. It was a track that was very successful to the level of annoyance.
