Take My Breath Away- Gui Boratto
I know this is an old one, but I was just looking through some of the picture from my last trip to Brazil and thought about one of my favourite Brazilian DJs. Brazil is one of my favourite places without a doubt, the country and culture has a lot to offer with respects to everything from the food (LOTS OF MEAT), the beaches, the people, and without a doubt the music. I remember like maybe 8 years back all the clubs in toronto were spinning baile funk, while I may not have been old enough to have experienced the Toronto baile funk scene, baile funk still thrives in the favellas of Rio and Sau Paulo.
Gui Boratto is an expert when it comes to minimalist house, out of Sau Paulo this DJ/producer has consistently put out some solid tracks that make you want to dance, and also have listening while chilling appeal. What I like most about his music is his use of of low tones when contrasted against deep heavy undertones of bass. It really creates an interesting sound and makes this song for me.
While the song may not be current with the trend in electronic music, I still dig the song and hope that electronic music starts to diversify more and experiment with different sounds like Gui Boratto has done.
