I think it’s safe to say that all the writers here at AWmusic are huge fans of Miike Snow and of Lykke Li. These musically talented Swedes are pretty amazing on their own. We didn’t expect anything less than perfection from this match made in heaven musical collaboration. “Black Tin Box” is the third track to be released from Miike Snow’s forthcoming LP, Happy For You. The album is set for a March 27th release date.
Wine is the latest from Brooklyn natives Blondes who will release their self titled album on February 7th with RVNG. It’s just one of those songs that make you feel good, or a “spritzer” as The Fader called it. I liked their name too.
I’ve been waiting for awhile to hear some sort of reggae/trip-hop cross composition with Gonjasufi being the first I’ve heard so far this year to do so. Blaksuit was my favorite off his album, but I gotta say it’s a great listen as a whole. It’s all fuzzed and droned out still keeping with the reggae-like tone. You can stream the album here. MU.ZZ.LE is out now.
This track has been floating around the interweb for a little over a week now and I figured I should share it some more because I like it. Oberhofer’s debut full-length album, Time Capsules II, is set to be released on March 27 via Glassnote Records. The band will be performing alongside The Temper Trap and Pond on March 25th at Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Hall. For a list of Oberhofer’s tour dates, check out their Facebook page.
Brooklyn producer Slava is set to release his EP next month, but for now he’s left us with one peak into his next effort. All I can say is New York is doing it right now. Soft Control will be out February 7th on Mexican Summer and Software. Below: I’ve Got Feelings Too.
