Fucked-up Music Video Mix
… so one day, I got real baked and I started watching music videos on Youtube. I came upon “Right Now” by Korn. It’s so gross and painful to watch, its fucking awesome. The video is full of self-mutilation and when you watch it, you’d probably think how the hell can they put that in a music video.
Korn: Album Review
Korn released their newest untitled album at the end of July this summer, right after their Family Values gig at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto. I went to that concert and I bought the album near the end of summer. That concert was pretty awesome but the album turned out to be a disappointment.
I bought the limited edition album because I just love the band that much. It came out to around $30 something and it came with a voucher for a free t-shirt that you have to go online to get. That ‘free’ t-shirt came out to $15 because of the shipping and handling. I felt pretty ripped off because I pretty much bought the CD just for the shirt. Anyways, the music on that album wasn’t no Mozart either. ‘Hold On’ and ‘Starting Over’ and ‘Love & Luxury’ were just meh. ‘Evolution’ was the number one single on the album and it reminded me of old Korn stuff from the Follow The Leader album. Its a good song to rock out to or have strippers dance to. ‘Kiss’ and ‘Sing Sorrow’ were good too but they were pretty depressing and you can’t really mosh to them. The rest of the tracks weren’t that great. ‘Bitch We Got A Problem’ and ‘Do What They Say’ were horrible. Korn’s sound has been changing a lot in the past couple of albums.
They lost Head after the Take A Look In The Mirror album and this year they lost David Silveria. Their music is a lot less ‘hip-hop-ish’ and has a lot less of the ‘I-just-don’t-give-a-fuck’ attitude. Korn’s last album, See You On The Other Side, was at least decent and was still full of energy, but this last album was just kind of depressing. I blame Amy Lee and Evenescence.
Anyways here are some tunes. The first few are from older albums. See if you can hear the transition in the last two albums.
