Eminem – Relapse Songs Leaked – Should I Care?

Eminem Relapse Songs Leaked Should I Care?

Eminem’s Marshall Mathers LP was the first album I ever bought. Eminem was likely the first artist I idolized. I was a huge fan for awhile. He’s released 3 really good albums in the Slim Shady LP, the aforementioned MM LP and a very strong Eminem Show. However, let me say it: Encore sucked. At least in comparison he still has his unique style but some songs (“Ass Like That”) lacked the angry foul mouthed rapper that made me his fan.

Discussions with friends, suggested that Eminem made it clear that he was rapping with the knowledge that he knows people are going to buy the record anyway and therefore have given him a pass (rap is probably the only thing I talk to them about regarding music). Maybe I’m a purist but rap doesn’t need anymore rappers just doing it for the money and not producing something creative. He definitely had SOME moments on Encore but it definitely was lacking in some areas – which never occurred before on any of Eminem’s previous records.

Anyway, out came “We Made You” and this songs blooooooows. Check it out. It’s not funny, doesn’t have a beat like Ass Like That and it puts me to sleep. However when I look at it, “We Made You” feels like that forced mainstream single that is separate from his gold material on every album. Looking at My Names Is, The Real Slim Shady, Without Me and Ass Like That – all weaker songs on his albums, because let’s be real – Eminem’s true greatness comes with the tracks that probably aren’t really meant for the virgin ears of the radio and tv screens. (or the quality is too good for radio, for all I know they just choose crappier stuff to play)

There are a few songs out now, Bagpipes from Baghdad, My Mom and Insane. All I know, Bagpipes from Baghdad is awful and I’m willing to stop there until I have a chance to listen to the album…which I’m not excited to, based on two songs.

I really hope Eminem hasn’t lost it but honestly it looks like he has and while the blogosphere has an orgy over these tracks, I’d rather just go back and listen to the time when he has good. Not sure I’ll listen to Relapse unless I’m assured that it’s good or else… I can’t stand such a good rapper making shitty music.

P.S. if you are looking for leaks, you came to the wrong blog :P (but here are other blogs that will help you out: Popsense and East of LA.

Here are songs I like:
I’m Back by Eminem
Till I Collapse by Eminem
Bitch Please II (ft. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, and Xzibit) by Eminem

I completely agree…. From what I’ve heard of this new album, it’s straight garbage. Just another “pop” rap record that will probably do well only because of his name. I kind of gave up on Eminem a couple years ago, actually after Eminem Show.

You also forgot to mention his first album, Infinate. I still think it’s one of his best, very raw and way before he formed this whole pop star persona.

Oops forgot to mention Infinite. It’s definite a raw album and I’ve only got to listen to it a few times. I definitely need to give it a bigger spin. I had a hard time listening to Encore, though there are some songs on there that said he could be onto something but reverted back to crappy pop singles it seems.

I THINK THAT LIL WAYNE AND EMINEM NEED TO RAP BATTLE TO SEE WHO IS THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE, CAUSE LILI WAYNES FILTHY BUT I DON’T THINK HE WOULD BEAT EMINEM IN A RAP BATTLE

One thing i got to say to you, stop trying to act smart, and go listen to Relapse. I know your a true fan, from the way your wrote your point of view. It’s going to exceed your highest excpectations. you are going to have them bone chills on some songs, yes the same chills you had when you listened to Eminem Show, and Marshall Mathers LP.
I was scared to get decapointed to, but after one listen i got my mind state clear, and exactly where it is suppose to be; where i know that Eminem is the best.

Yeah you know all the songs you’ve posted there (Bagpipes from Baghdad, My Mom and Insane) are the worst songs on Relapse, the rest is great!, singles like Hello, Deja Vu, Beautiful, Crack a bottle, Stay wide awake, 3AM, same song& dance.
You know i was thinking the same as you before i heard the album, but don’t judge to quickly, cause this CD is a bomb, specially relative to the hiphop these days.
