Top 5 Weekly Roundup
Because of my negligence I’ve decided to compile a Top 5′s list of singles I’ve constantly been rerunning over the past week or so. All singles have been released within at least the past couple of months and are sure to make you move, nod or smile.
1. Shlohmo- Just Us/ Year: 2011/ Album: Bad Vibes
A very simple and unexpected song from the 20 year old California producer. Heavy, filled with bass and a definite emotion conjurer.
Shlohmo- Just Us
2. Rewards featuring Solange Knowles- Equal Dreams/ Year: 2011/ Album: Unknown
Knowles continues to verse and dip herself into different genres and sounds particularly on point on this single. A true fusion of disco-funk meets soul, this track is grossly addictive.

3. ASAP Rocky- Toast To the Gods/ Year: 2011/ Album: LIVE LOVE A$AP
“NYC is back.” Probably no better comment for the New York native whose been splattered over the blogs for weeks now. There is truth to such proclamations though. ASAP’s veteran like rapping capabilities only stamp his reckoned force.
ASAP Rocky- Toast To the Gods
4. Miles- On The Fly/ Year: 2011/ Album: Facets
Probably the most interesting of the songs, with the most elusive of artists. Miles’ music has almost a controlled insanity with heavy repetitive sounds. He does techno in the most unconventional of ways.
Miles- On The Fly
5. Pusha T featuring Kanye West and Young Jeezy- Amen/ Year: 2011/ Album: Fear of God 2: Let Us Pray
I’m a devout Pusha fan, so this one should have been no surprise. Pusha’s hungry and it’s heard loud and clear.
